Not unless you put it right up to your nose and snort the fumes. The truth is most of these polishes and removers now have been made perfectly safe so you can feel free to polish and remove all you want and still not have any ill effects on your health. That's just one reason they came out with acetate free remover. Please don't ever intentionally sniff these though. I'm not too sure why anyone would actually do that, but nothing can be obtained by doing it. Some people thought long ago that it might be a cheap way to find to get high like glue sniffers. Those days are long gone as today's market has only types that you can use for your nails. Good luck and God Bless

is stage 4 lung cancer life threatening

is stage 4 lung cancer life threatening?
my friends mom has been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer, i know it's the most severe stage.. but is it life threatening?

It means she is terminal. She has an extremely small chance for survival. She has 3-6 months to live!!!! AT the very most a year!
2 :
Yes any cancer at stage 4 is life threatening. Stage 4 refers to the cancer spreading and at the last stage before it kills you. But some of us are able to fight it and win and others can't but lung cancer is hard to fight. I lost my left lung 2004 and it is not easy but I am a fighter and between the chemo and radiation I know I will fight to the end.
3 :
Yes.
4 :
I have stage 4 lung cancer myself. I'm a 48 year old woman and I was told by my doc I have anywhere from 18 to 24 months. The chemo has worked very well for me but it is still a terminal stage.

Does smoking marijuana cause lung cancer just like tobacco

Does smoking marijuana cause lung cancer just like tobacco?
@Auditore: Good point. I support medicinal marijuana because I smoke weed. I mainly asked this question just to see what people think.
Other - Health - 7 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
It is illegal to research anything to do with marijuana. Many suspect that any type of smoke that you inhale will cause cancer. At the very least it will do great damage to your lungs.
2 :
No, because marijuana (as far as is known) does not contain carcinogens and does not create carcinogens when burned. They wouldn't give marijuana to cancer patients if there was a risk of them getting MORE CANCER.
3 :
If you smoked pot in the same quantity as one would cigarettes, it would, but a joint or two a day is wwaayy less harmful than cigarette smoke, largely because it doesn't have all the additives commercial cigarettes do. However, lighting anything on fire and inhaling the smoke into your lungs makes it a carcinogen. Chris is incorrect-- legal, medical research on marihuana has been going on since the 1960s.
4 :
burning anything and inhaling it soon after will cause lung cancer. green is VERY unlikely to cause it though. its a HEALING plant. not a destroying one, like tobacco. it heals your lungs and everything in you. even your soul. so when you smoke it it cancels each other out. the only way not to get cancer causing chemicals from smoking something is by vaporizing it instead of using fire.
5 :
i bet the die hard smokers will try and tell you it doesn't but lets look at this for what it is - inhaling a hot plant into an organ that has not developed to cope with that sort of thing. that is where cancers come from, persistent exposure to foreign toxins. i love weed as much as the next guy but i'm not going to delude myself that it's perfectly safe. no research that I am aware of has came to a definitive answer, so im inclined to go with what seems like common sense. anyway, cancer is not the only thing that can go wrong with your lungs or respiratory system.
6 :
It probably does. It's still not as bad for you as cigarettes, though.
7 :
Marijuana contains carcinogens BUT it does not cause cancer. And while inhaling burnt plant material isn't the best thing you could do for your lungs it also does not give you cancer. Marijuana doesn't cause cancer, heart disease, brain damage, liver damage, emphysema or death, and its addictive potential is about on par with coffee. "We hypothesized that there would be a positive association between marijuana use and lung cancer, and that the association would be more positive with heavier use. What we found instead was no association at all, and even a suggestion of some protective effect" - Dr. Donald Tashkin, author of the largest study ever conducted into marijuana and cancer. "In strict medical terms marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume. It is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man. Marijuana does not meet the legal criteria of a Schedule I prohibited drug and should be reclassified" - DEA Chief Administrative Law Judge Francis L. Young. "The actual and potential harm of use of marijuana is not great enough to justify intrusion by the criminal law into private behavior, the possession of marijuana for personal use should no longer be an offense, and the casual distribution of small amounts of marijuana for no remuneration, or insignificant remuneration no longer be an offense" - Governor Raymond P. Shafer, Commission chairman of the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse ("the Shafer Commission").

Can you get lung cancer from smoking things like weed

Can you get lung cancer from smoking things like weed?
What can you get lung cancer from besides tabacoo??
Cancer - 4 Answers

1 :
yes, but u probably aren't smoking it as much as u would smoke cigarettes right? so ur probably not going to. also they chemicals in cigarettes are worse for ur lungs then weed.
2 :
anything you smoke it terrible for your lungs, throat and mouth and weed can definitely give you cancer
3 :
YES. Weed is more carcinogenic than tobacco. The main causes of lung cancer (and cancer in general) include carcinogens (such as those in tobacco smoke), ionizing radiation, and viral infection. This exposure causes cumulative changes to the DNA in the tissue lining the bronchi of the lungs (the bronchial epithelium). As more tissue becomes damaged, eventually a cancer develops. Smoking The incidence of lung cancer is highly correlated with smoking. Smoking, most commonly of cigarettes, is by far the main contributor to lung cancer. Radon gas Radon is a colorless and odorless gas generated by the breakdown of radioactive radium, which in turn is the decay product of uranium, found in the earth's crust. The radiation decay products ionize genetic material, causing mutations that sometimes turn cancerous. Asbestos Asbestos can cause a variety of lung diseases, including lung cancer. Viruses Viruses are known to cause lung cancer in animals and recent evidence suggests similar potential in humans. Implicated viruses include human papillomavirus, JC virus, simian virus 40 (SV40), BK virus and cytomegalovirus. These viruses may affect the cell cycle and inhibit apoptosis, allowing uncontrolled cell division.
4 :
If you smoked 20 or 50 joints a day, perhaps, but not in the quantity people actually smoke it. (People who smoke only a few cigarettes are unlikely to get cancer as well.)

My great-aunt is dying of lung cancer

My great-aunt is dying of lung cancer?
I've always been really, really close to my aunt. However, the doctors just found out she has lung cancer and is dying. I can't cope with this well and want to do something special for her before she dies. Any ideas? And how long do you think it will take before she dies? I live in WA and she lives in CA so I won't be able to visit very soon but I certainly want to.

there are treatments with can prolong her life, Only her docors can predict how long she has - they can be wrong http://www.cancerbackup.org.uk/Cancertype/Lung this english site is very good, you will have simar in USA

My uncle had lung cancer at 32. He was a non-smoker, career marine. He died when he was 36. There is small cell and large cell lung cancers, perhaps more, but those are the two I know about. The small cell (what he had) is worse. The key factor here is what kind and what stage she is in. If you can urge her to not give up and fight this, sometimes it does not have to be a death sentence. Even if it is, you can frequently extend the life and quality of life of the patient by boosting her immune system, eating a very healthy diet and keeping her liver in good shape. A really great detox is Bentonite Clay, Milk Thistle, Burdock and Dandelion Root. All too frequently, patients do not die of the cancer itself, but from organ failure. It is theorized that the cancer cells produce a toxin that poisons the liver, kindeys, lungs or heart. Bentonite clay will remove a lot of toxins from the body. My daughter had Asperger's syndrome. I gave her just the Bentonite Clay and she now does not have the tactile issues she did before. Unfortunately, she also lost some of the good traits of Aspergers. You may also want to encourage her to speak with a homeopathic doctor or Master Herbalist. I went to a Master Herbalist when my dog came down with metastasized Liposarcoma (had 3 months to live) between my own research and the herbalists knowledge, I prepared capsules of various herbs that have shrunk her tumor from a jumbo eggs size to now the size of a marble. She also is no longer suffering from the vomiting or lack of appetite she had before. It's too soon yet to tell if we won the battle, but we are winning at this point. Keeping the immune system strong, a very healthy diet, no sugar or carbs (this is what cancer feeds on - proteins and fats are fine) and detoxifying the body are essential to better quality of life and extended life. Feel free to contact me if you would like. I hope everything goes well for you! Christine

Well i have leukemia and i know that all i like is to have my family and frineds with me. So try to get to CA as soon as you can. Talk to a family member to see what they say. maybe you and your mom/dad could go to CA just you 2 if the entire fam cant get there. If your parents are concerned about u missing school then just tell them how much this mens to you. Get your aunt something that tells her you care like maybe nice jewely. But nothing to huge you have to get her. I am sure it will just mean so much if you am with her. Also if she is in the hospital thenmaybe on christmas stay with her all day. I know that if i am in the hospital on Xmas day all i would want is for my family and frineds to be there. Best of luck to u and your aunt! merry Christmas! Feel free to contact me at pointedancer10123@yahoo.com!

Hi, I think that when you make a application for life insurance, you need to tell them if you are applying for a second policy with another insurer. Look over this website, and tell yourself if your friend is in better or worse that Dave. http://kangenwaterusa.com/CancerSurvivalStory.html Dave is still living, so it might take a long time to collect on that life insurance. Your friend is not predisposed to die from cancer. What happens when you try to cash in for several life insurance policies that are less than 3 years old? The insurance companies can contest them, and claim that you might have known the client knew of their condition. After 3 years, the insurance company is stuck with you as a client. Insurance companies are becoming shy of passing out policies without a blood test because of the amount of aids clients that they have. Such a policy might have restrictions for the policy during the first two years. Anyway you are not predisposed to die from cancer if you are willing to change your diet and stop eating acidic things.

can dca give a longer prognosis of small cell lung cancer

can dca give a longer prognosis of small cell lung cancer?
i have small cell lung cancer, diagonosed in july this year,i have stage four extensive,it does'nt get any worse than that,i am 38 years old with a 9 year old daughter.Does anyone know if the drug 'DCA' could give me a better prognosis or a cure? as i am on my arse here, and if anyone could shed any light on the subject i would be very grateful. cheers Maria

DCA is still in early phases of clinical trials for non-small cell cancer. I have no background to know if this drug is even being considered for small cell lung cancer. Ask your oncologist to look into this. There are several open clinical trials for other drugs specifically for small cell lung cancer.
2 :
Maria, you have a tough fight ahead. The reality is that your immune system is the key to success, NOT DRUGS. If you were to take your cancer and put it into a healthy person, they would not get the cancer because their immune system would get rid of it. Cancer is the ultimate assault on a person and your immune system is the key to fighting it off. Current cancer treatments do the opposite of what makes good sense. Why would anyone want to poison their body, destroy their immune system responses, and expect to get well? Chemotherapy is such an abusive way to deal with cancer and it is being promoted as the best thing to do. Why? I just had a similar patient that came to me 8 months ago asking for help. She was trying to determine if natural remedies or chemotherapy would be the best way to go. She had lung cancer and a brain tumor. The brain tumor was swelling and I suggest she get radiation to shrink that or she may die soon. The doctor she was seeing agreed and she had that done. Then she decided to listen to the fear promoters and get chemotherapy for lung cancer. We know lung cancer is not helped with chemotherapy, but she opted to do that on her doctor's advice. 6 weeks ago, she came back. The lung cancer was still there and had now spread to her pancreas. Her doctor said he had done all he could do. $1 million dollars was spent on the chemotherapy. Amazing! She had a blood test that showed virtually NO vitamin D3 in her blood. Her immune system was all but gone. She had virtually no intestinal flora that is 3/4 of the immune system. The chemotherapy had all but stripped her of any of her natural defense mechanisms. I realized that she was in real trouble, but also knew that she had been stripped of the very thing that would help her, her immunity. 3 weeks after seeing her, she died. Knowing that if you have a good immune system, you have a much better chance of success, it is important to focus on that. I cannot comment on DCA, but it is a drug and have you ever heard of anyone being deficient in a drug? If the drug does not negatively affect your immune system, then I would think logically it may be worth a try. Only your doctor can advise you about this. If I was in your position, personally, I would work to boost my immune system into high gear, identify where the infection was in the body promoting the cancer, and focus on detoxing the body, and work on mentally making my self strong. good luck to you
