well I have read up a bit and the site you need to look at is www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/cancer/203359 it basically says to check with her chest specialist first, at what stage the cancer is, and what meds she is on. hope this helps you.
2 :
I have never heard of cancer patients being advised against flying, so long as they are in sufficiently good health for the walking and waiting of traversing airports. She can double check with her doctor, just to reassure herself.

What will Obama tell America if he gets lung cancer from his cigarette smoking

What will Obama tell America if he gets lung cancer from his cigarette smoking?
Will he say he knew it was stupid to smoke but did it anyway? Kind of like many of his policies that he is promoting?

Everybody say it together now... IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!
2 :
"I had to smoke all the leftover cigs from the previous administration!"
3 :
Obama will probably not say it was stupid as much as you would expect him to. Remember that cigarettes make a lot of money to the US Government and for barack obama to say that is just going to make his government look bad. He would probably say i made a choice it cost me dearly and i recommend to people who have not started don't unless you can handle it and to the people who do it he would say try to smoke less. He would inform the public in a smart way which doesn't put anyone to fault it would just show the decision he made and whats his reaction or recommendation to it. indirectly he would be saying no but only if you can understand it.
4 :
I would understand if he said "Michelle drove me to smoke so much".

What has lung cancer to do wih smoking?
2 :
Once you get cancer the first time there is definitely an increased chance of it coming back. As for the smoking, that is yet another added risk and will most likely be a major factor in any reoccurrence of lung cancer.

If someone has lung cancer that is in stage 4 and needs a blood transfer

If someone has lung cancer that is in stage 4 and needs a blood transfer.?
If now being put in hospice, how long do you think the person has to live? The cancer has spread all over her body.

Hospice care is not called in until someone is in their final days (usually with only a week or so to live)... No one can predict when someone will die...however, I would say this person is in their final days...and you should spend every moment you can with her...when she looses her hearing and eyesight and begins to be in a coma-like state and then begins the "death-rattle" sounds (that lungs make in the final hours) she will most likely be only 12 hours or so from the "end" of her earthly body... My heart goes out to you...and whomever is suffering with this...
2 :
less than a month
3 :
Very hard question to answer to be honest. A lot of it will depend on the medication (morphine) that the medical team are administrating. High doses sometimes are used to reduce pain and create a medical coma to help the patient pass away peacefully. I hope this helps. I know what you must be going through. The fact that they are having a blood transfer is a good sign.

In 2005 my mother-in-law had stage 4 lung cancer. From the time she was diagnosed in the beginning of April we had to call hospice the first week in May. She passed 2 days after being home with hospice. It went through all of her body as well. Cancer is an ugly thing and to watch someone you care about go through this it is not pleasant. I really do not expect it to be to long if it is all through her body. If she is in hospice and fades like my mother-in-law it will be about 2 days if that. I wish you all the best and when she passes at least she will not have the cancer anymore and will not be in anymore pain. God Bless You!!!

You might check this article titled "The Four Stages of Lung Cancer" It is a very good article that describes each stage of lung cancer. http://www.articlefarm.net/Article/Lung-Cancer-Staging---The-Four-Stages-of-Lung-Cancer/67267

my mom was looking up symptoms of lung cancer should i be worried?
she smokes but she is quiting she is currently doing very well but when i went on the computer today i say that she looked up symptoms on lung cancer should i be worried

1 :
Not really - maybe she was just needing some help to remind her why she should quit. Quitting smoking is hard, you should be proud of her.
2 :
No. She is probably just curious (as many smokers are) and maybe even looking stuff up like that to help motivate her to quit.

Cancers vary a lot, symptoms may include unexplained weight loss, a hardness or lump forming somewhere, digestive & bowel movement irregularities, shortness of breath or coughing and many others. Most cancers do not cause pain for quite a while. An increase in white blood cell count can often be seen as the body tries to fight back. If you're concerned, SEE A DOCTOR, describe your symptoms and undergo ant tests he feel appropriate. p.s. I had lymphoma with a large mass 10 years ago, was treated, and am still cancer free!

Often, sadly enough, there are no early symptoms til lung cancer is in its later stages. I went in for a routine check up.. had xrays, suspicious masses found.. ended up with multiple scans, biopsy and diagnosed with stage iv lung cancer.. never saw that coming!! So its important to get unknown pain checked out, listen to your body. Even at stage iv, I still don't have the symptoms listed yet was given only a few months to live at my diagnosis.. weird.. but it happens.. be careful and be safe. General symptoms of lung cancer The symptoms of lung cancer can be Having a cough most of the time A change in a cough you have had for a long time Being short of breath Coughing up phlegm (sputum) with signs of blood in it An ache or pain when breathing or coughing Loss of appetite Fatigue Losing weight Less common symptoms of lung cancer There are other symptoms of lung cancer that are less common. They are usually associated with more advanced lung cancer. You may have A hoarse voice Difficulty swallowing Swelling of the face caused by a blockage of a main blood vessel from the head (SVCO) Swelling in the neck caused by enlarged lymph nodes Pain or discomfort under your ribs on your right side (from the liver) Shortness of breath caused by fluid around the lungs (called pleural effusion)

Can dogs develop lung cancer

Can dogs develop lung cancer?
My dog is around smokers several times a day and I was wondering if, since she's second-hand smoking in a sense, if it could cause lung cancer or other diseases?

5 :
Yes
6 :
i would assume so
7 :
Yeah, she can develop lung cancer. You should take her to regular vet check-ups and have them examine her lungs just to make sure she doesn't have it. If you can, try to get her away from the smoke as much as possible too.
8 :
it can get almost every cancer we can get, so yes
9 :
Dogs with long snouts are more likely to get cancer in the nose and throat. Lung cancer in dogs is rare.
10 :
here's a pretty good site to check. http://www.rojo.com/story/roCXif4FTLZdhT5E-Dog-Disease-Lung-Cancer Good luck to all of us that have to be around smoking people I was one of them once, I'm so glad I stopped, I feel better, I smell better, food taste so much better. It was a great choice for me.

Can a man survive lung cancer type 2 and cancerous tumors on his spine

Can a man survive lung cancer type 2 and cancerous tumors on his spine?
My husband has all this is this a death sentence?

I donĂ¢€™t know what type 2 lung cancer is. If the tumors in the spine are metastatic lung cancer than it is not curable. Survival depends on what kind of cancer it is, the grade and how well he responds to treatment. As his wife his treatment and prognosis should have been discussed and made clear to you, unless your husband has made it clear he does not want his condition discussed with anyone. I suggest you make a list of questions you have and go with your husband on his next appointment with his oncologist.
3 :
The cancer registrar has given you a straight answer. I am sorry, but it doesn't look good for your husband. It happened to a relative of mine so I know how you feel.
