How do people die from lung cancer? explain conditions, symptoms, and things leading up to death. How could she have gotten lung cancer? (besides smoking or any other drug) Please help! Because the docter explains what has happened so I need an answer a doctor would give.

just an idea; have your main character with other siblings (if there are any) and have one of those before-death talks that you see in the movies. then, the mother coughs continously and the child(ren) are ushered out of the room as doctors and nurses rush in. throw in some dialogue with a doctor or something and then do a flatliner. just a thought....

well sometimes cancer is hereditary(passed through the family) so you don't necessarily have to be a smoker. the lungs can start to weaken and the disease can spread through the blood till its ruled as blood cancer and effects the whole body. lung cancer, your lungs can start to bleed and flood, leading to suffocation and death. my dad passed of stomach, blood, and bone cancer so i know what it can do to a person. with lung cancer, your lungs can burn, ache, and you can cough up blood constantly. since your lungs are weak, they cant filter out most bacteria, so you may be sick with colds or flus often. hope i helped. =)

like "gamer" said Have it in hushed tones. The children right theyre she could hand a daughter a necklace or something then dockters could rush in (the eldest might have called in advanced) and then have them rush the children out. they try giving her some antibiotics or medication but all odds fail she just dies no sudden rath of pain or anything then the eldest child sits and mourns while the youngest plays not realizing anything any middle-aged childern cry.
