I know for a fact that weed has more tar than cigarettes. I also know that tar is a major reason for lung cancer... so why is it that no one has ever gotten lung cancer from smoking weed

There are countless carcinogens in cigarette smoke. As far as I'm aware, tar isn't one of them - it's an irritant. Those who smoke cigarettes may develop a regular cough. Those who smoke cannabis may develop a similar cough as the body tries to remove the tar that has accumulated in the lungs. One thing that I think everyone would agree on, is that there hasn't been enough research undertaken concerning the smoking of cannabis.
