how does non small cell carcinoma lung cancer get created? what is the process of this cancer? i found a few stages but i need to know how the cancer cells affect the lungs

I think when you write anthesema you mean emphysema. If thats the case, then theres a big difference betwen emphysema and lung ca (but both are related to smoking). Lung cancer is cancer. Emphysema is a type of obstructive lung disease (damaged lungs but not cancer). Both can kill you depending on the severity of the emphysema or type of cancer. I'd say just don't smoke, and if you do quit now...

how common is lung cancer if you have never smoked

how common is lung cancer if you have never smoked?
i guess im looking to see how dangerous both second hand smoke is and without any contact of smoking how possible it is to get cancer of the lungs.

There are different types of lung cancer. Small cell lung cancer (about 20% all lung cancers) - 99% of patient are smokers or ex-smokers. Non-small cell lung cancer (the other 80%) - cigarettes are still a major cause, other causes being occupational exposure such as asbestos, radon, hydrocarbons and metals such as chromium and nickel.
