what are the chances of getting lung cancer if i smoke 1-2 regular sized marlboro reds a day?
im only 14 tho and ill smoke more as i get older so i guess this was like a pointless question to ask.

eh. only two(2) cigarettes a day? i'd say not very high. i wouldn't worry about it.

There aren't statistics to help with amount of smoking- smoking once in your lifetime significantly increases your risks. 1-2 a day isn't good at all...but certainly better than chain smokers.

If you smoke as much as you do, you're still very likely to get lung cancer (or at least more likely than non-smokers)

Let´s put it this way, The more you smoke, the higher chances you have of getting cancer. If you start at 14, at 34 you have smoked 20 years. Cancer is not the worst of your problems, by then, you won´t be able to breathe. Then, when you try to get a lung transplant, SORRY, you´re a smoker.

If you currently are only smoking 1-2 cigs a day, why not quit now? I have been smoking for a long time and have tried unsuccessfully thus far to quit. You are so young and have so many things to do with your life still. You are not a lost cause in the quitter catergory. Please try to fill your life with something else now before you begin smoking 5-6 or more. You are worried about the possibilities already, and you are too young for that kind of burden. There are many quit smoking links for you to try. Don't pre plan on smoking more as you get older. It will only get worse. It will consume your every move. Good luck.
