Will an xray always show lung cancer

Will an xray always show lung cancer?
Are xrays accurate for small tumors or is a CT scan needed to confirm lung cancer?

It is just one way of diagnosing a tumor. Often, once a tumor is found, a CT scan is ordered.

Hello. They will do an xray first. Then if they see any dark spots on the xray, they will do a Cat Scan.

Not always. X-rays can definitely catch some tumors, even small ones. However, a CT (or PET scan, etc) would probably be a follow up. Even then there's a very small chance it could be missed either in the picture or with the doctor reading it. No one is perfect, not even doctors.
