I don’t know what type 2 lung cancer is. If the tumors in the spine are metastatic lung cancer than it is not curable. Survival depends on what kind of cancer it is, the grade and how well he responds to treatment. As his wife his treatment and prognosis should have been discussed and made clear to you, unless your husband has made it clear he does not want his condition discussed with anyone. I suggest you make a list of questions you have and go with your husband on his next appointment with his oncologist.

The cancer registrar has given you a straight answer. I am sorry, but it doesn't look good for your husband. It happened to a relative of mine so I know how you feel.
